Marc Goodfellow (Burton Albion)MARC GOODFELLOW

Squad Number: 8

Position: Midfield

Date Of Birth: 20 September 1981

Signed From: Bury

Debut: 27/01/07 v Aldershot Town (a)

Marc joined the Brewers in January 2007 as he started to rebuild his career after injury.

Burton born, Marc started his career with Stoke City where he made over 70 appearances. He became a hero in the potteries when he scored the winning goal in a League Cup tie against Premiership Charlton Athletic.

After spells at Bristol City and Port Vale, he moved to Swansea City where he again wrote himself into the record books by scoring the first goal by a Swans player at their new stadium.

A move to Bury started well but a back injury early in the season limited his appearances and he was released during the mid season transfer  window in 2007.

Marc suffered a broken arm in a freak training ground accident just one game into his Burton Albion career, and he was sidelined for 3 months. However scoring the winning goal in his third appearance showed that he still had plenty to offer to the club and looks to be an exciting prospect.
