CLUB GUIDE

ROCESTER

Rocester

Nickname: 'Romans'

Address: Hillsfield, Mill Street, Rocester, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, ST14 5JX

Getting There: By Car - From the A50 roundabout adjoining McDonalds at Uttoxeter, take the B5030 to Rocester (also signposted for Ashbourne and Alton Towers).

After approximately four miles turn right (opposite the JCB factory) over the narrow bridge into Rocester village.  At the mini-island turn right into Mill Street and the ground is 500 metres on the left, just past the former cotton mill.

Parking: There is a large car park inside the ground.

By Train: Rocester does not have a railway station. The nearest station is in Uttoxeter.

The Stadium:

As you would expect for a club at this level, facilities are basic. Most of the ground are open grassed areas with a fence separating you from the pitch. There is a small seated stand on one side of the pitch.

It is a great place for pre-season friendly matches though, especially if you have the kids as they can run around in the sunshine and let you enjoy the game.

Admission Prices: For Bass Vase games, the admission prices are £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Places to eat and drink: There is a social club at the ground which is open to visiting fans.

There is a tea bar that does a good selection of snacks, and even sold ice creams on my last visit.

Websites: The official website is basic but gives you all the information that you need. Find it at www.rocesterfc.com
