Aldershot Town have appointed Gary Waddock as their manager for the 2007/08 season. Former QPR player and manager Waddock replaces Terry Brown in the hot-seat at the Recreation Ground and will be looking to lift spirits after a disappointing season.

 

It has been confirmed that Boston United will start their first season back in non-league football without a points deduction. The 10 point penalty, awarded for the club going into administration, has been deducted from the Pilgrims tally for the 2006/07 season. The decision by the FA is likely to make Boston even more hated by the footballing world than they already are.

 

Cambridge United have added three new players to their squad. Defenders Stephen Reed and Dan Gleeson have joined the club from Torquay United and Notts County respectively, whilst prolific non-league striker Lee Boylan has arrived from Chelmsford City.

 

Crawley Town have confirmed that they will be lining up in the Blue Square Premier league next season after the club exited from administration. The Sussex club started the season with a 10 point deduction and would have faced relegation if the financial situation had not been resolved.

 

Gravesend & Northfleet have changed their name and will now be competing as Ebbsfleet United. The Kent club are hoping to be boosted by the regeneration of the local area, and the name change is designed to make the club central to the community and to attract new supporters.

 

Exeter City are just one game away from a return to the Football League as they prepare to face Morecambe in the Nationwide Conference play-off final at Wembley.

The Grecians were relegated to the Conference in 2003 and are making their first ever appearance in the end of season lottery. They came back from a 1-0 defeat in the first leg of the semi-final to draw 2-2 with Oxford United before winning through to Wembley on penalties.

 

Farsley Celtic have announced ticket prices for their first ever season at the highest level of non-league football. It will cost £12 to sit down at Throstle Nest with terrace admission £10. Students and OAP admission is £6 for seating, with standing room just £5.

 

It was a season of struggle for Grays Athletic, but the Blues have already begun rebuilding with the arrival of Karl Murray and Craig McAllister from rivals Woking. Heading out of the club is midfielder John Martin, but striker Dennis Oli has agreed to stay for another season.

 

Halifax Town have announced a pre-season friendly against Premiership side Wigan Athletic in July.

 

Histon have been busy in the transfer window as they bid to strengthen the squad that won the Conference South title. Arriving at the Glass World Stadium so far are goalkeepers Mark Osborn and Danny Naisbitt, defender Craig Pope and striker Cliff Akurang.

 

Two Albion oldboys are looking for new clubs after Kidderminster Harriers started their clearout. Andy White, who missed a last minute opportunity to grab an equaliser in the FA Trophy final, and midfielder Jake Sedgemore are amongst five players told they can leave Aggborough.

 

Northwich Victoria have frozen ticket prices for next season.

 

Oxford United are counting the cost of failing to bounce straight back to the Football League and have announced that seven players will not be offered contracts for next season.

In an attempt to cut the wage bill, Chris Hargreaves, Josh Kennet, Rufus Brevett, Billy Beechers, Gavin Johnson and Steve Basham have all been shown the door at the Kassam Stadium.

 

Garry Hill has also been wielding the axe at Nene Park with the Rushden & Diamonds manager releasing six players and placing a further four on the transfer list. Goalkeeper Paul Bastock has joined the club from relegated St Albans City.

 

Derby County are one of the league clubs that will be pre-season opposition at Marston Road on July 14th.. Stafford Rangers will also be playing host to Walsall on July 24th.

 

It looks as though a revolving door will need to be fitted at Broadhall Way to cope with all the players leaving and arriving at Stevenage Borough. There has not been much time to celebrate the team's FA Trophy final victory for six players, including former Tottenham Hotspur striker Jamie Slabber.

Manager Mark Stimson has strengthened the squad with the capture of Jamie Eames from Norwich City, John Martin from Grays Athletic and Mark Molesley from Aldershot Town.

 

Torquay United have named Leroy Rosenior as their new manager, replacing Keith Curle. Rosenior led the Gulls to promotion to League One in 2004 and is seen as the man to help the club bounce back after their relegation to the Blue Square Premier league.
