ALBION FANS IN BAY
WATCH (27/11/07)
Burton Albion will travel
to the North Wales coast to take on Colwyn Bay in the FA Trophy
after tonight's replay against Sheffield FC ended in a penalty
shootout victory for 'The Bay'.
The Brewers last visited
Llanelian Road in January 2002 during the Unibond League
Championship season, winning 3-1. The two sides have met in the FA
Trophy before, Burton winning 2-0 in the 1979/80 season.

ATHERSTONE TOWN 0 (27/11/07)
Jake
Edwards finally broke his goal-scoring duck with a hat-trick in this
Birmingham Senior Cup replay. Oliver Hancock and Ryan Austin (his
first in 129 appearances!) grabbed the other goals to put the
Brewers into the quarter finals of the competition.

BREWERS SET OFF ON
TROPHY TRAIL (26/11/07)
The draw
for the First Round Proper of the FA Trophy has been made and Burton
Albion have been handed a tricky away trip to either Sheffield FC or
Colwyn Bay.
Albion's
possible opponents face a replay on Tuesday night to earn the right
to host Nigel Clough's men on Saturday 15th December.

BURTON ALBION 1
CAMBRIDGE UNITED 2 (23/11/07)
Defeat,
and a red card for Daryl Clare meant that it was a cold walk home
for the majority of the bumper crowd at the Pirelli Stadium.
Shaun
Harrad scored the opening goal in this top four clash, but the
visitors hit back to equalise. Clare then saw red for swinging an
elbow at a Cambridge defender, and the U's immediately made the most
of their numerical advantage to score the winner.

ATHERSTONE TOWN 0
BURTON ALBION 0 (20/11/07)
A strong
second string Albion team were left feeling 'Sheepish' after being
held to a draw by a club from the Midland Alliance.
The
result means that there will now be an unwanted replay to add
further congestion to the coming weeks. A red card for Danny Holmes
capped a miserable night for the Brewers.

EXETER
CITY 1 BURTON ALBION 4 (17/11/07)
The
Brewers scored four goals for the second successive game to demolish
Exeter City at St James Park.
Two goals
apiece from Shaun Harrad and Daryl Clare moved Burton up to 4th in
the table and set up a mouth watering home clash with Cambridge
United on Friday night.

IT'S BARNET IN ROUND
TWO (11/11/07)
The draw
for the second round of the FA Cup has been made and Burton Albion
will face a visit from League Two side Barnet.
Whilst
some fans may be disappointed not to have come out of the hat
against a 'bigger' team, a potentially winnable home tie is not to
be sniffed at with the possibility of facing a Premier League team
just 90 minutes away.
The two
sides are no strangers to each other with league encounters going
back to the mid-sixties, but they have only be paired together in
the FA Cup once before. Burton earned a replay with a draw at
Underhill in 1989, but were beaten 1-0 in the return game at Eton
Park.

HALIFAX TOWN 0 BURTON
ALBION 4 (10/11/07)
The
Brewers cruised into the second round of the FA Cup with a
convincing win at The Shay.
Two goals
apiece from Daryl Clare and John McGrath demolished a sorry Halifax
side who were reduced to 10 men early in the first half when Anthony
Griffith was dismissed for a professional foul on Shaun Harrad.
Clare
curled in the resultant free kick and it was all one way traffic
from there on in.

SIMPSON IN, AISTON OUT
(10/11/07)
The
Brewers have signed midfielder Michael Simpson on non-contract terms
as Sam Aiston returns to Northampton Town at the end of his loan
spell.
Simpson, an experienced
campaigner in the Football League, has been out of the game for 12
months through injury. He has been training with the Brewers and
completed 90 minutes in a reserve game on Tuesday night and looks
set to make his debut against Halifax in the FA Cup.

BURTON ALBION 0
KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS 2 (03/11/07)
The long
run of matches unbeaten came to a disappointing end at the Pirelli
Stadium this afternoon.
The
visitors were the better side in all areas of the match and never
looked in danger of not taking all the point home once Russell Penn
opened the scoring. Harriers scored a second goal and then, despite
being reduced to 10 men, comfortably saw the rest of the game
through to the end.
