BURTON ALBION 1
CRAWLEY TOWN 0 (22/03/08)
Daryl Clare's deflected
free kick in the second half was enough to secure victory at a
freezing cold Pirelli Stadium this afternoon.
It was a nervy game with
very few chances for either team, but John McGrath did see his
effort hit the crossbar and Saul Deeney was also saved by the
woodwork.
The most entertaining
moment of the afternoon was the dismissal of Crawley manager Steve
Evans, who was sent to the stand after his usual outburst at the
referee.

U's BEAUTIES - OXFORD
UNITED 0 BURTON ALBION 3 (08/03/08)
The Brewers got their
play-off push back on track in spectacular fashion with this
demolition of sorry Oxford.
The home side had the
early chances to take the lead but were denied by poor finishing and
the woodwork, but Burton lost their previous shyness in front of
goal and took the lead through Daryl Clare's header.
Keith Gilroy added a
spectacular second to give the Brewers a two goal lead at half time,
and the Irishman scored his second goal after the break to put the
result beyond doubt.
The home fans showed
their discord as their team failed to muster anything in the second
half and their cause was not helped by the sending off of James
Clarke.
The win keeps the Brewers
in 6th place in the table but leaves them only one point away from
the play-offs.

BURTON ALBION 1 HISTON
3 (01/03/08)
The Brewers continued
their mini-slump with defeat at home to fellow play-off hopefuls
Histon.
The visitors were ahead
after just 3 minutes and never looked back. The result could have
been a rout if Histon had taken the chances they created at the
start of the second half.
Jake Edwards scored a
goal late in the second half to offer a slim chance of a come back,
but Jack Midsom added a third with five minutes to go to send the
home fans streaming out through the exits.
