BURTON ALBION 1 EXETER CITY 0 (27/11/06)
It won't be remembered as a classic
game, but the Brewers did enough to earn all three points and moved
up to fourth place in the table.
It was a dour game with very few chances for
either side and it was settled by Andy Corbett's first half strike.
The only downside from the evening was the
injury to David Brown which saw the striker replaced in the first
half. MATCH REPORT

THE LADS (27/11/06)
The draw for the First Round of the FA Trophy
was made today, and the Brewers face a long trip north to face
Gateshead.
The 'Tynesiders' are currently 16th in the
Unibond Premier Division and have former Brewer Paul Talbot amongst
their squad.
The match will take place on Saturday 16th
December at the International Stadium, Gateshead.
Brewers fans will be hoping for a repeat of the
very first meeting between the two clubs, when Albion ran out 8-0
winners back in 1979!

DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE 3 BURTON ALBION 0 (18/11/06)
Burton's play-off hopes took a dent as they fell
to a heavy defeat at Victoria Road.
The game was closer than the score line
suggests, but the home side took the chances that they had, while
the Brewers were again punished for their ability to hit the back of
the net.
Nigel Clough now has 10 days to rally his troops
before the televised clash with Exeter City a week on Monday.

BROWN JOINS BREWERS (16/11/06)
Nigel
Clough has boosted his strike force ahead of Saturday's clash at
Dagenham & Redbridge by signing Accrington Stanley forward David
Brown on loan.
The former Manchester United trainee has made
only six appearances for the league two club this season, and has
not managed to get booked in any of them. Obviously this saw him
surplus to requirements at the Fraser Eagle Stadium, and he joins
the Brewers initially on a months loan.

SCOFF GOES TO TOWN (15/11/06)
Striker Steve Scoffham has joined Alfreton Town
on a month's loan in a bid to regain his match fitness.
After picking up an injury in the match against
Woking last month, his only appearance for the Brewers has been in
the Birmingham Senior Cup.
Scoff has made 10 league appearances since
joining the club in the summer, but has struggled to hold down a
starting place in the side.
Terry Henshaw has had his loan spell at
Hednesford Town extended for another month.

BURTON ALBION 1 TAMWORTH 2
(11/11/06)
Two
defensive blunders sent the Brewers crashing out of the FA Cup.
Tamworth staged a smash and grab raid at the
Pirelli Stadium, in a game that the home side dominated for long
periods.
Daryl Clare opened the scoring just minutes
after half time, but a bizarre own goal from Kevin Poole gifted the
Lambs an equaliser. The game looked to be heading for a replay
before Ryan Austin's poor defensive header allowed Jon Stevenson to
smash home the winner.

BURTON ALBION 1 WALSALL 2 (07/11/06)
A youthful Brewers side suffered late heartbreak
in the Birmingham Senior Cup, losing to an experienced Walsall side.
In a reverse of Burton's last league game
against Stevenage, it was the visitors that grabbed an 89th minute.
Steve Scoffham had equalised for Burton in the second half, and the
game looked to be heading for extra time until Graham Deakin
snatched the winner.

BURTON ALBION 2 STEVENAGE BOROUGH 1 (03/11/06)
The
Brewers produced a gutsy second half fight back to win the game after
going a goal down and having Aaron Webster sent off.
The visitors went in front after 16 minutes
through Jon Nurse, before Webster was dismissed just two minutes
later for hauling the goal scorer down on the edge of the area.
Keith Gilroy grabbed an equaliser ten minutes
into the second period before Paul Carden's late strike stole all
the points and lifted the Brewers up to fourth place in the table.
