Adam
joined the Brewers half way through the 2003/04 season on loan from
Kidderminster Harriers. He arrived with a wealth of Football League
experience with over 100 appearances for Swindon Town, Mansfield and
Kidderminster.
Injuries
to Darren Wassall and Steve Chettle meant that Adam was able to slot
straight into the side and marked his first appearance with a clean
sheet against Farnborough Town.
His
experience and class was clear to see, and it was difficult to see
why a player who had started as captain at Aggborough was now being
allowed to play at Conference level. He was part of the team that
defeated Torquay in the FA Cup, and was ever present for seven
games, only ending up on the losing side once.
He missed
the Hartlepool United FA Cup game through suspension and then
suffered whiplash injuries in a car crash which saw him sit out the
remainder the month. His injury saw the termination of his loan and
he returned to Kidderminster.
He joined
Conference North side Hinckley United at the start of the following
season and was on the opposing side when the Brewers faced the
Knitters in the FA Cup. Adam decided to take a break from
football at the end of the 2004/05 season after a string of
disappointing performances saw him released by the club.
