Signed on loan from Tamworth in March 2008, Matt made an immediate impact on the Burton Albion fans by scoring the winning goal on his debut.

A former Manchester United trainee, Matt left Old Trafford without tasting first team football and moved to Notts County in 2004. He initially joined Tamworth on loan in January 2006 before making the move permanent at the start of the 2006-07 season.
