LAURIE WILSON

Albion Career: Aug 2004 - May 2005

Appearances: 17 + 9 sub

Goals: 2

Debut: 14/08/04 v Accrington Stanley (a)

Last Game: 05/04/05 v Dagenham (a)

Signed at the start of the 2004/05 season as part of Nigel Clough's masterplan to create a young squad for the future. Laurie was released by Sheffield Wednesday after making only 3 appearances for the Yorkshire club, but came with a footballing pedigree as the son of player and manager Danny Wilson.

Laurie began the season as a regular in the first team, but by the turn of the year had found himself loaned out in the football wilderness at Grantham Town and Belper.

He returned to the squad towards the end of the season as key players were rested in preparation for the FA Trophy semi-finals, but despite scoring on his return against Aldershot never did enough to really merit a second season with the Brewers.

Released at the end of the season, he was soon snapped up by Conference rivals Kidderminster Harriers.
