The 'comback kid', Craig Dudley was a player that no-one seemed to want at the start of the 2003/04 season. Nigel Clough tried to offload him, but a lack of interest from other clubs forced the manager to retain his services. Craig never looked back and has now established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet when fit.

Craig joined the Brewers from Oldham Athletic where he was rated as a hot young prospect. A change of management saw Craig frozen out of the first team and he opted to join the Brewers in an attempt to play first team football. Craig was clearly not fit when he first joined the club, but his return to fitness and form has begun to turn him into a fans favourite.
