Christian Moore returned to the Brewers in January 2006 to begin his third spell with the club.

'Moorey' originally came to Burton on loan during the 92/93 season, and although he scored two goals on his first full start, he didn't do enough to convince manager Brian Kenning that he deserved a longer term deal.

The rejection must have hit Christian hard as in a sheer act of desperation, he even had a spell with Gresley Rovers. He helped the Whippets gain promotion from the Midland Division of the Southern League before leaving for Sandiacre Town.

Christian revived his career with spells at Forest Green Rovers and Ilkeston Town, and it was with the Robins that Nigel Clough saw something in Christian that persuaded the manager to make a club record transfer bid of £17,500 for him in February 2000.

'Moorey' struggled to make an impact during his first season, but soon began to earn himself cult status with his goal scoring and his committed  performances.

Christian is one of those players that you love when he is playing for your team but despise if playing for the opposition. His tenacity and guile delighted and frustrated in equal amounts, but an ability to score goals at crucial times made him a hero.

After 165 appearances and 69 goals, a £20,000 bid from Telford United saw Christian make an ill fated move to the Shropshire club in the autumn of 2003. The move started well with Christian achieving national recognition with an FA Cup hat-trick against Brentford, but the high suddenly turned to a low as Telford went bust and left him without a club.

Despite the attentions of Hornchurch FC, Christian opted instead to sign for former Albion manager John Barton at Worcester City. His bad luck seemed to be continuing as he suffered a serious injury which kept him out for most of his first season with the club.

He managed to make a recovery and get back to goal scoring form, alerting Kettering Town, who took him to Rockingham Road. Despite being the club's top scorer at the time, Christian was released by Kettering and joined the Brewers for his third spell in January 2006.

The third spell saw Christian make another 14 appearances, most of them from the substitutes bench, but he did weigh in with a couple of goals including a late winner away at Stevenage Borough.

Christian joined Hucknall Town after leaving the Pirelli Stadium and was last heard of playing for Mickleover Sports.
